The king of lies and hate visited Grand Rapids

Trump attacks Immigrants with his Politics of Racism!!!

This past Tuesday, April 2, former President and again presidential candidate Donald Trump visited Grand Rapids taking advantage of a tragedy that happened last week with the death of young Rubi Garcia.

According to media sources, 25-year-old Rubi Garcia was killed by her boyfriend, allegedly a Mexican, who had been deported a few years ago during the Trump era and returned without permission during the Biden administration. As always Trump and his followers used this event to increase their politics of racism and hate instead of standing with and supporting the family of the victim. They simply tried to gain publicity with lies by saying that he had spoken with the family of the young woman and had been told that she had a nice smile, although maybe it is true that the young woman had a nice smile, this conversation was another of his lies. The sister of the young woman said that Trump had never spoken with her family, as we always know Trump is famous for changing the truth.

Besides his lies, what is sadder and more damaging is how Trump uses tragedy and racism to win votes. For example, even though several studies show that immigrants including undocumented ones commit less criminal or serious crimes such as homicide than US citizens. Trump and his followers take any case of a crime allegedly committed by an immigrant to speak against them.

This was the theme of his talk in Grand Rapids where the public could not enter and only police and reporters could be there. They talked about the "bloodbath" caused by Biden's policy at the border and other barbarities against immigrants saying they were animals that come to the United States to commit crimes, what is also sad is that there are people who are influenced by these lies, but what made me the agreeist was to see police, including sheriffs, from Michigan who were there applauding and agreeing.

I would also like to know if we who pay taxes and employ police officers paid them to go support the political campaign of a presidential candidate, who is not currently an official president and who obviously knows nothing about crime, except how to commit it, is currently facing over 80 criminal charges in three states and the District of Columbia.

Although we know that Biden is not perfect and has not done enough for immigrants and has also made many mistakes in my view, there is no point of comparison between him and Trump when we see his racist intentions and performances especially on the immigration issue.

Trump also used a horrible and racist chant:

Build the wall

Deport them all!!!

We must do everything we can, even if we have to vote for a less than perfect candidate like Biden, to not allow Trump to win again. Trump and his supporters are using the immigration issue to get the public to support him out of fear of a supposed "criminal immigrant invasion" even though statistics also show that during Biden's administration the vast majority of immigrants work and pay taxes contributing to the country's economy.

We must start the campaign now so that all registered U.S. citizens turn out to vote in November, we cannot allow four years of hatred and attacks against immigrants.

It is unfortunate and shameful that a tragedy like the death of a person is used as a strategy full of hate and racism against millions of decent people.
